(formerly of Surrey County Council Early Years Department)
Since qualifying as a teacher in 1991 I have worked in Early Years and Childcare Service and primary settings advising early years settings on how to maintain quality, supporting additional needs, supporting families and providing training.
In 2011 I competed my MA in Child-Centred Interprofessional Practice and for the last four years have overseen the improvement in outcomes for children across the local authority.
I recently joined with two colleagues to form a training and consultancy business for those working in the early education and childcare sector.
I have over 40 years experience in working within the early years, childcare and primary sector. This has included nursery and pre-school leadership, home-based childminding, regulation and inspection for the local authority and Ofsted, training coordinator, workforce development and safeguarding advice and guidance for the private, voluntary and independent sector.
I have 20 years experience in delivering multi-agency safeguarding training for a local authority and local safeguarding board. I am N.N.E.B trained and have a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) post graduate diploma in Leadership and Management and a masters degree in Inter-professional, Child Centred Practice (ICCIP), which I achieved at Kingston University.
